Tips to Reconnect After Co-Parents' Time

When you're co-parenting the transition between houses can be fraught with meltdowns, agitation, picking on each other, whining, and other expressions of dysregulation. Our goal is to use the knowledge of our kids' underdeveloped brains and leverage their sensory systems and our connection and bond to help them transition with more ease and less chaos.

Physical Conflict w Littles

Little people means underdeveloped prefrontal cortexes and hitting, pushing etc happens. Here's a simplified "how to" to get you through.

Work Through Outbursts/Meltdowns

Kids have huge feelings and lack the prefrontal cortex development to always control them well. We likely weren't given a lot of tools growing up to support another dysregulated person. The freebie is a reminder of your approach options so you can stay regulated yourself.

Redirecting to Acceptable Targets

Kids get bowled over by their big feelings and sometimes that activation energy is just too much for them to handle. This document helps you redirect your child to something they CAN do to get that energy out of their body so they don't hurt themselves or others instead.
